Iain started skiing at the age of two and went on to win the French Vosges Championships and the British Under 12 Championships at the age of eleven. Iain was a member of the British Children's Ski Team for 5 years, representing GBR in Italy, Andorra, Slovenia and the Czech Republic, with two international podiums of 2nd in Super G and 5th in Giant Slalom in Andorra, 2014.

He won Overall British Champion in U12, U14, U16, U18 and U21, and came 3rd in the Team Event representing Scotland at the World Schools Champs in Sierra Nevada, 2014.

In 2016 Iain represented Team GB at the Winter Youth Olympic Games in Lillehammer, Norway, finishing 17th in Giant Slalom and 20th in Slalom.

In 2016 Iain won the British Under 18 slalom, giant slalom, super giant slalom and downhill, was overall U18 champion and 3rd overall British Champion. He also was 3rd in the French U18 Slalom Championships and won his first FIS race in Giant Slalom at the French Universities’ Championships.

In 2017 Iain won the British Under 21 Giant Slalom and Downhill and was 2nd Under 21 in Slalom and Super Giant Slalom. He also won the overall British Super Giant Slalom and was 2nd Overall British Champion. All at the age of 18.

In March 2018, Iain retained the British Under 21 Championship title and secured his first British Championship.

His Under 21 title came following victories in the Downhill, Super Giant Slalom and Giant Slalom as well as a third place finish in the Slalom.

Iain won the British title after victory in the Super Giant Slalom, a second place finish in the Downhill and a fourth place in both the Giant Slalom and Slalom. All at the age of 19.

Iain trains with Orsatus Ski Racing in Meribel, France, alongside several other British Ski Team Members.

Iain's goal is to represent Team GB at the 2022 Winter Olympic Games and to win a medal.
